[Hardcore Victorian]
friend: "but you are a hardcore victorian right?"
me: " err.. hopefully.."
friend: "but you want to go vj rite?"
me: "yupps.. duh~ "
So my friend was talking to me about hardcore victorians and i was reminded of that on the bus back from tuition. so i got really emo, ya noe, last year in VS (and it's really something to be emp about kaez! How many times doyou get to be in the graduating year of victoria school?) and all.. So as we all know, with emo-ness comes inspiration. And i wrote a poem. Amateur i may be, but it's te sincerity that matters right? I'm no Edwin Thumboo but here goes..
Victoria
they sons are we

and in your name
triumphs we see
Inside our hearts
we hear a cry
go victoria
win, win victoria
Challenges rise
but we stand sure
fighting to keep
her flag unfurled
Thank you mother
love ya to death
we do not return
for we never have left
Onwards we press
professionals, sprotsmen
gentleman to be
ultimately victorian
Red with passion
yellow: dignity
history passes
tradition lingers
Indebted truly
we can never repay
we'll never forget
our victorian days
A victorian team
the victorian way
a victorian dream
nil sine labore
I write my poems myself. But of course if you're victorian you'll notice that i've "koped" some emo phrases here and there. but there's nothing wrong with preserving taintless traditions. ohh vintage victoria..
