[My Love-Hate Relationship]
I love exams.
I hate exams.
I just cant make my mind up whether i like it or not. Exams are disgusting, that's for sure. But it's kind of cool too. Think about it. You get to end school early. You get to skip classes. You get to go to school later. (I'm going school at 10am tomorrow cos the earlier paper has none of my business.) What more can you ask? There's no homework.
And if you're prepared, it's really fun. In a way. Like English. It was fun writing about broken promises, broken glass and broken lives. And compre was so cool. It was on Blogging! The setter sure is up-with-the-times. "Vociferous debates." Sounds familiar mr cheo? hahas..
Truly, i was more of reflecting on that piece of text rather than doing the compre. Blogging is confused. There's this love-hate relationship about it too. You want people to read your blog. You fear people read your blog. You hope people read your blog. You dont care if people read your blog. A blog is suppose to be an online diary. But arent diaries meant to be private? Maybe blogs were created for people to post their life stories anonymously. But that doesnt seem to be the case nowadays, does it?
But then there's boring tests. Physics. It made today dreadful. I was actually thinking of giving up for a few moments. I know i'm stupid. But do i need to sit through this torture to further illustrate my ignorance for some guy's law? And i thought we only do Law in university. Faraday's law. Err.. what's that again? Half the time i wasnt sure what was going on. I think i wont make it as a lawyer. And who's Boyle?
The PAP visited. Yupps! The people in white rang my doorbell just minutes ago. My mum was asleep. I was at the door. She wouldnt want the leaders to see her with her hair all messed up and unglam, right. So i did the cleverest thing ever. I told them she was asleep. They thought she was sick. They gave me a copy of the PAP manifesto. (Have i seen this word somewhere in my history textbook before? Somewhere in russia right?) I shook his hand. Never have seen him before. New candidate i think. How long have you been staying here? How old are you? My house is messy. Don't come in. And i was wearing a light blue t-shirt. Plain. Totally plain. All i needed was a hammer. Preferably wooden. Power to the people. I dont particularly support any party. But i do have a preference for birthday parties. How did you get pass the security guards anyway? Fake IDs? Oh so you party at Mos too? No, i havent been there. But their fries are kinda big. But the rice burgers are lubly.
Democracy. I read about it in the papers today. Newspapers. Not exam papers. About some guy who sees things really interestingly. He was writing about democracy like how people write about communism. Never have seen democracy put in this light before. Democracy has always been the norm. It's the right thing. It's only natural. And that's the problem. Democracy kills critical thinking, or so the article says. And democracy really is fueled by popular culture. (They both came from the same place anyway..) What most people think is right, is right. Who determines what's right or wrong? The collective society. That means you. And him. And her. And that guy down the road. What everyone is saying, you just follow. As long as you follow the crowd, you dont go very wrong. Either that or, it's okay being wrong, if everyone is wrong. Groupie mentality? Reflection of society. I'm not saying we should do away with democracy. I mean, i would be crazy to say that. Cos no one's saying it. Cos everyone's for it. Critical thinking? Maybe later. I dont know. I really dont know. Love- Hate Relationship.
There you go. My five cents.
Where's my three cents change?
My prismatic picture.
Next: A math.
Good luck.
