Now that that is done, we'll move on. These holidays were superbly exciting and tremendously fulfilling.[no i didnt get a job nor volunteered at the old folks' home] First on my HolyDays list was PSLTC. It was so cool crashing the camp and staying over for the last time in school before being shamelessly and unglamly emo/cobe. (to find out what cobe means read previous post) [to find out what emo is, where have you been? Mars? No, Pluto. Sobs.] Kudos to the 15-year-olds and the 14-year-olds for the camp. But whoever said that 14 was the new 15, is/was/forever-will-be, seriously disturbed. I'll miss you, Mr B Bear.
Next up in my HolyDays list (Not LifeList, you Ellen diehards.) was the higly anticipated shopping spree in KL with a couple of peeps that are not 14/15 year olds but sometimes get a little disillusioned. "You think you 14/15 ah?" Or occasionally get a little too hopeful. "If only you were 14/15." That aside, i bought a grand total of 8 tees, not including those bought as gifts. Most people seem to think that that's an amazing fact, but im not most people. The days spent in the Singaporean owned serviced apartment in KL and the train ride back [with not exactly the strictest of departure checkpoints, to say the least] will be something i'll never cease to emo about with Jarren, Jiehao, John, Bryan and Mr Oh. F-O-S!
When i came back, it was time to go to Bintan. The sea view was splendid, the pool was chic (except for the occasional kodomo dragons swimming in it which actually added to the pool's exotic quotient) and the private bungalow (im not sure if it meets the requirement for bungalow but heck.) was a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of life in good ol singapore. Didnt do nothing but swimming and eating. I got quite a pleasant tan, though.
Speaking of tans (spot the pun?), i went to spend a couple of exotic days at Mawai camp [which was also another break from civilization] where LTC is always held since like forever [dont take my word for it]. The rain was relentless as we climbed the mountain which i do not know the name of because i renounced memorizing names of mountains after cramming which two plates made what mountain [nazca and s.america for Andes Mountains by the way] after the geog core exams. Forget singing in the rain. Amateur. We were climbing in the rain and it was rejuvenating-ly refreshing. Jerric and genie were cute and so was the alleged relationship between the two NTU peeps, of which one is uncle steven and the other is jac/jack, i have no idea. The camp was deliciously free becaue the kind Lisa jie "invited us out of goodwill" and we will forever and ever be "morally indebted to her". And thanks to the godson of wendy sukiyaki who suddenly got casted in LOTR, lisa jie is calling us to go for the SEC3 camp with our school next year! If that's not cool, even the coolnerd aint cool. Not only do we not have to pay, we get paid as instructors! Green shirt, here i come. Oh and the free tan! [Spot the pun!]
After that was done, it was time to once again plunge into the realms of the concrete jungle. I went to watch a couple of movies with a couple of people this time. Trust the Man was a romantic comedy which is NC16 so you can imagine that it's kinda sexed up. Half the time we didnt understand the joke. But then again, maybe it's just me.
Today i watched Dejavu with Bobby and Rahul, unlikely combination but well.. There was suppose to be more people but some had dentals to go to and others had other more spiritually inspired activities to engage in so that left only us. Some may say Deja vu is a cheesy time travel movie but i think it's a chic, deep, introspective blockbuster that is a hybrid between a time travel show and a 2-hour long CSI episode. Cool. After the show Bobby tried to explain the intricacies of time travel [whoever would have guessed he's an astro-physics enthusiast?] and i blanked out. That was chang yang's territory. Then Rahul left for street soccer and Bobby followed me to get a present for Bryan's Christmas Party. Exactly $15. Yeah! I then followed Bobby to some Teddy Bear shop at Esplanade in search of some teddy his friend has from Canada (the bear, not friend) When they earnestly asked who the bear was for, Bobby said myself and she burst into a chuckle. She probably thought we were queer. Do the math.
Still learning to use beta.
Love ya'll.
