Merry Christmas to All
Happy holidays everbody!
Funny. In America some small politician has started proclaiming that wishing Merry Christmas to non-christians is an insult to them. When i first heard about it i was like WHAT? Is that not being immature? Just when the world is starting to open up to religious freedom, the world's superpower is actually causing a big hullabaloo on wishing people Merry Christmas? So the next time you decide to wish someone Merry Christmas, remember to ask if he/she is christian. What?
Maybe the US could take a lesson or two from Singapore. Here we embrace celebrations of the major religions present in Singapore. From Hari Raya to Deepavali, from Chinese New Year to Christmas. This not only enables greater understanding of the different religions but would also ultimately help in promoting Racial Harmony. Besides, that means more holidays. Now, who's complaining?
