Okay, the four lines above are totally irrelevant to today's post but it's just somthing i came up with on the bus today. After the Rmun thingy this morning, i had lunch with the group at Sumo House and then went home to read newspapers. And i realised that what we do in school really is relevant to everyday life. I mean like the headlines was ASEAN AND S. KOREA SIGN DEAL TO SET UP FTA. That was like the question bryan and i was dicussing this morning on whether developed countries want free trade or not. Economics is just so darn confusing.

And then when you flip through it you see that Mt Merapi is on red alert. Then i went: Hey! Isnt that in Marianne Chong? I think Mt Merapi is a composite volcano. Cos they say got lave dome. So most prob it's a subduction volcano cos lava dome must have acidic lava cos it's viscous (not basaltic okay, mr jason.. amyhow say..). Then they say in the villages at merapi, the men split into several groups and then run stark naked around the village to ward off eruption. Erm.. Excuse me but volcanos dont stop erupting just because you bare your butt. Well.. except for a few certain individuals who reside in Beverly Hills. ohh.. geog.. i heard i got A2 for it this time. Stupid rivers question! And i think that is gonna be one of my few As this time.. Sigh..

Then the Straits Times say yesterday (or the day before) was the 40th anniversary of the Great Cultural Revolution. Yea the one that started in 1966 and ended in 1976 with the death of mao in Sept. Ugh. Dont remind me. I studied all the dates and it didnt come out for sbq! Shucks. If only i remembered that 1945 was the de-stalinisation period and that the Pravda (not Prada) was Stalin's Propaganda Mag. Shucks!

And by-the-way, that ACS guy who came for replacement class at TLL enlightened us and told us that Shucks! is actually a portmanteau of Shit! and F**K! (this is a family-orientated blog) plus an S behind. Never knew about that. So quintessentially ACS rite. The Best Is Yet To Come. And we all know what's the next line.
